TUCAL straight single pipes consist of :
- an inner pipe
- insulation by shell of rock wool, glass wool or other insulation material depending on the temperature
- a steel outer casing coated with PE.
TUCAL straight pipes are made to measure. The "standard" lengths are 12 lm for welded steel pipes and approx. 11m for seamless drawn pipes.
Two parameters affect the diameter of the straight pipes’ outer casing:
- the temperature of the fluid transported which governs the thickness of the chosen insulation
- the number of inner pipes
150 mm of inner pipes are left free at the ends of the straight pipes so that the parts can be welded together.
