The 1980s - the expansion of the oil industry

The history of INPAL Energie begins in 1979, with the creation of the company CTB (Chaudronnerie Tuyauterie Brangues). In light of the high demand from the oil companies based in the Rhône-Alpes region, this local company decided to enter into the market of pipe insulation for industrial purposes. In 1984 CTB became INPAL EXPANSION and in 1987 set up its first subsidiary: INPAL Industries.
